Carbon Fixation
Carbon Fixation is the first step of the Calvin Cycle, where inorganic carbon dioxide is incorporated into an organic molecule.
The Enzymes RuBisCO catalyzes the attachment of CO2 to ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate (RuBP), forming two molecules of 3-phosphoglycerate (3-PGA).
This process is critical for producing the building blocks of Glucose and other carbohydrates.
