Cytochrome Complex
The Cytochrome Complex is a protein complex within the Electron Transport Chain that plays a key role in creating the Proton Gradient. It accepts electrons from Plastoquinone and passes them to Plastocyanin. Simultaneously, it pumps protons into the Thylakoid Lumen using the energy from electron transfer. This process is essential for ATP production.
